On December 16, 1962, God blessed Charles Jr. and Dorothy B. Jefferson in Lubbock, Texas, with their sixth addition to their family. He was an affectionate son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Charles III, transitioned life on October 16, 2024 at 9:47 am, peacefully with family by his side.
He worked as a cook, construction worker, painter, and in the lawn care service until his health deteriorated.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Jr., and Dorothy B. Jefferson; grandparents, Charles Sr., Olean Jackson, Ira (Ella) McCoy; three sisters, Barbara Henderson, Rosalind Jefferson, Olean Jackson; two brothers, Morris Henderson, Ronnie Mallory; two nephews, Tedrick Sims, James Flowers; one great niece, Keiundea Skinner and one great nephew, Dakari Terry.
Lil Charles is survived by two sons, Taurean Sr. “Tyrnn” Johnson Jefferson, Ke’Juan Jefferson of Amarillo, Texas; three grandsons, Jordan, Taurean Jr., and Carmelo Ibarra Jefferson; one great grandson, Malekai Ibarra all of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Jefferson, Renee Jefferson (William) of Dallas, Texas, Willie Polk of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Craig Jefferson (Bell), Frankie Jefferson both of Amarillo, Texas; a bonus brother, Charles Wooten (Pam) of Dallas, Texas, a host of nephews and nieces, Morris, Renny, Xavier, Pastor Edward, Lil Bo, Lil Morris, Glenn, Antwan, Jeff, Markus, Tousha, Olean, Shadinka, Sharee, Iesha, Dynysty, Tela, Tyronda, Sherri, Kim; a host of great nephews, nieces; four special friends, Herman “PeeWee”, Fred Saiz, Larry Johnson, Sonya Owensby; two sister in laws Michelle Henderson and Jackie Worthen; bonus sister, Machone Gilmore.
