Charles Black Obituary

On Friday, March 10, 2023, we are sad to say that we lost a great brother, uncle, and friend. Charles Edward Black, 68, of Amarillo, TX; was born on November 4, 1954, to       Johnniemae and Iassac Black, Sr.

He was a former cook at the Amarillo Country Club and at the Big Texan, worked in lawn care service, and did some detail work. His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos. He loved to take care of pit bulls around where he lived, he treated them as if they were his kids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, James Black, Iassac Black , Jr., Willie Black, Howard Black, Thomas Black, and his sisters, Shirley Black and Ruth Black.

He is survived by his brothers: Robert (Marlo) Black and Edward Black; sister Marguerite (Fineas) Ivory, his nieces and nephews: Patroskie Ivory, Sr., Patroskie Ivory, Jr., Jaydaa Ivory, Fonzie Ivory, Nicole Ivory, Eddie Baker, Jr., Stephanie Baker, Jaqualin Williams, Lameka Mitchell, EliJah Pohlmeier, Enyjah Mitchell, A’Tayvion Gentry, Ashinie Martin, Tiraney Hill ad Davan Hill, and a host of family and friends.
