Carl Byron Tillmon was born April 2, 1951 to the late Herman Walker and Margaret TIllmon in Borger, TX. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School in 1969. Carl met and married his High School Sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Ruthie. To this union, they were blessed with three children.
Carl Tillmon -AKA “Shaky T” was the “Jack of all Trades” from welding, building, contracting, to construction and was always a call away. He is also known as Amarillo’s “Tax Man” and you could tell him that he wasn’t the BBQ King. Carl was the coolest man on “this side of the Earth” and he never spared you knowledge. He has made big contributions to the Amarillo Community and was a major asset to all of his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and a very special niece.
Carl is survived by his wife, Ruthie, son, Patrick Tillmon (Chariss) of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Kendra TIllmon of Wichita Falls, TX; and Amber Tillmon of Las Vegas, NV; twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
