Brandon Slade Ward was born March 16, 1998, in Lamar, Colorado to Marilee Jo Phelan and Robert Ward, Sr. He was the fifth and last child to his mother. He attended school at Margaret Wills Elementary, Sam Houston Middle School, and graduated from Palo Duro High School. Brandon loved reading his bible, spending time with family and friends, listening to and creating music, and playing basketball. Brandon was very adamant about learning and understanding the bible. He read it multiple times a day. From a young boy he was always very intelligent and respectful. He loved his family very much and was a seeker of knowledge and constantly talked about finding the most High.
Brandon is preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Dorothy Phelan and Gloria Horn and sisters, Tryna Owens and Jackie (Peaches) Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Marilee Jo Phelan and father, Robert Ward Sr.; grandfather, Dale Ward Sr., wife, Jamie Johnson; son Kayson; siblings, Hersha (DeWayne) Bolton, Ralph (Erica) Owens, Shara Owens, Jennifer (Robert) Montgomery, Robert Ward Jr, Kimberly Ward, Chalanda Sanders, and Tonia (Edwin) Bradley; nieces, Tracia, Mary-Elise, Aidynn, Zoey, Tionna, Maritza, Tronia, De’Amara, Ava, LaTosha, Amarey, Nevaeh, and Amiaya; nephews, Brice, Christian, Michael, Za’Ryan, Zaydyn, De’Marion, Allen, Trayvon, Quincy, Kenneth, Izaac, Al, Zavion, and Jakyre’, and great-nephew, Koulson. He also leaves behind many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
