Branda Blount

Branda LaKresha Blount was born October 29, 1978, in Amarillo, TX, to Tami Blount and Luther Ray Majors, Sr. She was educated in the Amarillo Public School System where she graduated from Palo Duro High School. She begins working right after high school. She worked for Bivins Nursing Home in Dietary for many years. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend, but her greatest joy was being a mother to her two boys, Ezekiel Gutierrez and Ralph “RJ” Gutierrez, Jr., both of Amarillo. Branda gave her life to Christ in 2020. She loved to fish and cheer against the Cowboys. She also enjoyed writing poetry.

She is preceded in death by James and Nancy Collins, both sets of grandparents, James and Juanita Blount of Amarillo and Roger and Katherine Majors of Amarillo, and a sister, Britani Majors of Amarillo.

She is survived by her parents; Tami Blount and Luther Ray Majors Sr., Both of Amarillo; two sons, Ezekiel Gutierrez and Ralph “RJ” Gutierrez Jr., both of Amarillo; three brothers, Brandon Blount (Dana) of Austin, TX; Luther Majors Jr. and Cody Blount of Amarillo; three sisters, Kyra Blount, Takia Majors, and Jami Majors of Amarillo, TX.; two special cousins, Eric Green and Tony Green of Amarillo, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Her Grandma, Juanita, affectionately gave her the name “Thomas”... We love you Thomas!
