Al "Unc" Swain

Al Marcus Swain was born November 22, 1958, to Obie Swain, Sr., and Dovie Swain. He went to Hilltop Elementary School and Steven F. Austin Junior High School in Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Jordan High School in Watts, California. Joining the United States Navy in 1979, he later was honorably discharged in 1981. After leaving the service, he had a meaningful career with the Veterans Affairs until retirement. At the time of his death, he and his wife, Patricia, lived comfortably in Los Angeles, CA.

He is preceded in death by Obie Swain, Sr., Dovie Swain, Obie Swain, Jr., Charles Swain, JoAnn Baker, Alex Preyer, and Marilyn Preyer.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, children: Kaleena Wilson and Travone Roberson; siblings, Kay, Alma, Greg, Sharon, Douglas, Kevin, Violet, Lynn, Billy, Tracey, and Juanita; grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
