Obituary

Adella Mae Morgan Gaither passed away, at the age of 85, on Sunday, May 8,2022 in Amarillo Texas.

Adella was born on May 13, 1936, to loving parents Willie O. Morgan and Anna L Dale, in Greenfield, Oklahoma. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas .  She graduated from Boley School for the Deaf in Boley Oklahoma. Adella married Lemon Gaither May 1, 1962. She worked for Goodwill Industries for many years as well as the Service Industry for over 15 years.

Adella was preceded in death by her spouse Lemon Gaither, parents, Willie O. Morgan, and Anna L Morgan, three brothers, Willie J Morgan, Garnie L Morgan and Sammy G Morgan, sister, Brandy J Franks, four great children, Tray Allen, Ron Brackens, Jalen Allen, Javonta Pierson, six nieces and two nephews.

Adella loved her son and her family.  She loved to spend time working crossword puzzles, music, doing hair and most of all she loved the Lord. Adella loved to cook.  She had an amazing funny side and loved Kung Fu movies.

Adella is survived by her son Herman Campbell, wife Bonita Campbell, Carrollton, Texas, brother Roger Grant, Amarillo, Texas, nine grandchildren, Rodney Allen, Amarillo Texas, Xavier Calloway, Kansas City, Kansas, Tyonda (Sherilyn) Deaver, Halton City, Texas, Carlos Reese, Dallas, Texas, Peter (Tasha) Allen, Wyle, Texas, Lamont (Brandy) Pierson, Amarillo, Texas, Ka’Tia Campbell, Los Angeles, California, NaTria Allen, Amarillo, Texas, Cicley (Ronald) Brackens, Lancaster, Texas, thirty great grandchildren and a host of extended family, nieces, nephews. Adella also leaves to mourn a special friend Lonnie Steptoe, a cousin, Valerie Johnson, three nieces, Joyce Morgan, Tina Franks, and Rhonda Franks.
